Abbeville
The Abbeville Opera House - The Abbeville Opera House dates back to 1908, and was a stop on the most significantly lines for touring companies, going from New Your to Atlanta. Having the best touring companies passing through regularly the Opera House has plenty of history. Dating back to before the turn of the century the House is old enough to have a Negro balcony. In modern times the balcony is completely cleared, save one chair, which is said to belong to the ghost of the house. Legends tell us that the Ghost is one of the black patrons who was murdered in that very balcony. Many believe to have seen this spirit roaming the Opera House.
The Trinity Episcopal Church - Orbs have been sighted flowing from window to window inside the old Church.
Laurens
Ghost Creek Road - According to legend, many years ago a young couple living in Laurens was engaged and about to be wed. On the night of their wedding, the young man died in a tragic car crash on the bridge. It is said that his spirit still touches this place.
Witnesses' accounts say, should a person stop in this area and turn off their car and the proceed to walk clockwise around the vehicle it will not start. Other's have witnessed a white apparition in the trees above the spot of the accident. The local newspaper has done many stories on this happening.
